About
Why this Project?
In today’s political landscape, a large number of individuals are forced to leave their country and become refugees on EU territory. Despite the long history of the situation, there is a general lack of preparedness and infrastructure to receive these people and provide them with shelter. It has also been observed that even experienced refugee workers and trainers struggle to cope with the emotional strain and pressure that comes with their job.
The GOFAR project has been developed as a transnational collective effort to provide sustainable solutions based on international policies that will benefit the refugees while also raising awareness of what should be a common fight against intolerance, violence, and hatred.
This initiative addresses the pressing refugee issue by providing volunteers, refugee workers, educators, and other leaders involved in humanitarian efforts with psychological support, orientation, and training in cultural competence.
